My Personal Plan of Work 

Introduction

Learning a language is a process that takes time, effort and dedication. It is very important to know that learning is an individual process. Therefore, it is necessary you develop your own methodology or Personal Plan of Work in English based on your needs, your interests and the way you learn.

Objective: to reflect on my own learning process so I can develop strategies to become a lifelong learner.

May 31st

Task 1: The first step to start your Personal Plan of Work is to write a specific learning objective in English to achieve before May 31st. Before writing, take into account the diagnostic activities to evaluate your abilities in the language and consider your needs, your interest and the result you want at the end of this time.

I want to be able to describe  my family, their physical appearance, their personality, their likes and dislikes in English. At the end, I would like to describe my family orally without using a translator or any other external help.	My objective is to be able to recount in English the story of my favorite book “Playing the Enemy by John Carlin”. I would like to summarize the story in my own words and to write a short review about this book.	I would like to be able to explain in English how a star is born because I love astronomy. I want to create a Prezi presentation in my words and to record my voice speaking about it.	My objective is to watch the documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” in English and to be able to give my opinion on global warming. At the end I am going to present my recommendations to this topic in a short video.

Bitácora: A Personal Plan of Work

Dear students,

The objective of the Bitácora is to help you develop your autonomy to learn a language. Autonomous language learners take responsibility for the totality of their learning situation. They do this by determining their own objectives, defining the contents to be learned and the progression of them, selecting materials and strategies to be used, monitoring this procedure, and evaluating what they have acquired.

El objetivo de la Bitácora es ayudarte a desarrollar tu autonomía para aprender una lengua. Primero es importante definir que un aprendiz autónomo es una persona que se hace completamente responsable de su proceso de aprendizaje. Esto lo logra al determinar unos objetivos, definir contenidos y la progresión de los mismos, seleccionar materiales y estrategias a implementar, hacer seguimiento de su proceso y evaluar los logros alcanzados.

Steps:

1.       Establece uno o dos objetivos específicos de aprendizaje personal en el área de inglés que quieras alcanzar en dos meses.

Ejemplo: Quiero ser capaz de describir a mi familia de manera escrita y oral.

2.       Diseña tu plan de trabajo para alcanzar los objetivos propuestos en el siguiente cuadro:

La canción como proceso de aprendizaje. 3.Ya que rapeo en español, mejorar las habilidades en español en cuanto a gramática, lingüística. Para aplicar al rap en inglés. 4.Entender figuras literarias en inglés.	1.Tener la canción en ingles en mi celular y escucharla con frecuencia con la intención de entender mas que de cantar. 2.Después de entendido lo que dice (en español e inglés) cantarla. 3.Crear canciones o rimas cortas en inglés. 4.Grabarlas en el celular y estudiar la fonética.

3.       Establece unos horarios de estudio y comienza a implementar tu plan de trabajo.
